Raymond Linch

Raymond Linch B.Sc. (Hons) Civil Engineering

Joint Managing Director

Raymond Linch graduated in 1984 and spent his early working years based in France, developing supermarket and innovative market design throughout Europe, based on his guiding principle ‘good food should not be exclusive’.

Returning to the UK in ’92, Raymond designed and refurbished Doncaster Fish Market, Bolton’s Ashburner Street Markets and Bury’s Food Hall concurrently whilst designing fresh food retail environments for the big supermarket groups.

Raymond joined Quarterbridge in 1999 and now heads a multi-disciplinary team dealing in all aspects of market development strategies, business planning and implementation.

Raymond now leads market development teams for both public and private sector developments and is appointed as the London Mayor’s Special Market Advisor. He has won many accolades for successful market projects, which all
have a distinctive high-class continental look and feel.

Jonathan Owen

Jonathan Owen B.Sc. (Hons) Estate Management

Joint Managing Director

Jonathan Owen graduated with a BSc in Estate Management in 1976 before qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor. After working as an investment surveyor in the City and Projects Director for a West End property company he was the founding member of Quarterbridge in 1997.

His experience ranges from developing Shopping Centres to refurbishing historic Market Halls and he is a retained consultant to various Market authorities. He specialises in operational reviews, business improvement plans, valuations, development appraisals and funding partnerships.

Jonathan is a popular speaker at Market industry conferences.
He contributes regularly to the trade press and writes monthly ‘Market Matters’ articles published in Market Trade News.

Hayden Ferriby

Hayden Ferriby

Business Development Director

Hayden Ferriby has a wealth of experience of senior management within SME’s across a range of industry sectors and has considerable experience in business start-ups and business development.

Having established two businesses, in 2008 Hayden became a consultant within the Shopping Centre industry working for landlords and managing agents specialising in increasing income for Shopping Centres and Retail Parks by identifying underused areas of sites and creating previously untapped income streams.

Hayden joined Quarterbridge in 2010, heading their specialist in-house lettings department before becoming Commercial Director in 2013. As part of Quarterbridge’s multi-disciplined team, he has been involved in a wide range successful of market redevelopments, operational reviews and lettings campaigns.

Having left in 2015 and returned in 2017 to lead the newly formed Quarterbridge Lettings Limited company.

Malcolm Veigas

Malcolm Veigas

Operations Director

Malcolm has a long and successful background in Local Government starting with Leeds City Council. He then spent his time in the public sector as an Assistant Director with Bolton Council.

He has over 25 years of experience in the markets industry at Leeds, Kirklees, Bradford and Bolton, including over 15 years at a strategic leadership level in local government.

He was lead officer for the 1999 International Market Festival in Kirklees and went on to repeat those events with Bradford Council in 2004 and 2006 the latter generating over 700,000 visitors to the City Centre over the 4-day event.

He led eight services at Bolton achieving national awards for School Meals, Markets and Bereavement Services and was a member of the Environmental Services team that won Management Team of the Year.

He has represented that UK Markets industry via NABMA across Europe over many years and upon leaving local government he joined Geraud Markets UK as their Chief Operating Offcer and recently joined the Quarterbridge team as their Local Government specialist.

Robert Baker

Robert Baker

Operations Manager

Rob Baker is one of our newest appointments. Rob is a regional manager for the North with remit to support the acquisition of Markets in the Northern Region and help support and manage the teams working in each.

Rob has an extensive background in bricks and mortar high-street retail.

Originally from Kent, his CV covers supermarkets, out of town retail at Bluewater in Kent and a variety of store management roles in the North and South of England.

Based in Leeds since 2010, Rob recently joined the Team and is involved in overseeing Market Operations at our site in Darlington, development and review of Market assets, staff development and the acquisition and development of new and interesting stalls.

Shameem Peerally

Finance Manager and Company Secretary

Shameem has 12 years banking experience working at Barclays where she worked in several different roles within the finance section.

Shameem then gained her AAT qualification level 4 and joined Quarterbridge Project Management in 2014 as accounts assistant.

Her role evolved as the company grew and Shameem now manages her our finance department as Finance Manager.

Shameem is also Company Secretary and HR Manager.

Leanda Hoyland-Linch

Leanda Hoyland-Linch

Senior Consultant Designer

Leanda Hoyland-Linch has worked in the design and advertising industry since 1982, as an illustrator, graphic designer and creative director. She has worked as a creative consultant to Quarterbridge for over 20 years on design projects for large shopping centres and retail markets.

Leanda oversees all creative output at Quartebridge including design for print and digital, events management, PR and advertising.

Quarterbridge stand out from the crowd with an effective combination of knowledge, sector specialism and sound commercial understanding

Emma Forbes

Emma Forbes B.Sc. (Hons) Environmental Science

Business Development Associate

Emma Forbes graduated the University of York in 2016 and joined Quarterbridge in 2017, after spending a year managing a Café in York where she lives. Emma has provided project support for the Wool Market refurbishment in Doncaster, overseeing the decant process, providing operational support to Doncaster Markets team and liaising with traders as part of the pre-letting exercise. She is also involved with various aspects of Markets’ online presence, running social media pages to increase public engagement and working closely with traders to help them maximise their online exposure, both through Quarterbridge produced websites and their own social media pages.

Kelly Leman

Kelly Leman BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Asset Registrar and Design Manager

Kelly completed her studies in 2012, leaving university with a BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design. Kelly joined Quarterbridge in 2013 as a Junior Graphic Designer assisting with the production of artwork for print based media, digital media, website design, events management and marketing. Kelly gained the title of Graphic Designer in April 2014 when she became proactively involved with large projects.

Sue Smith

Accounts Assistant

Sue joined Quarterbridge in November 2018 as accounts assistant to the Finance Manager Shameem Peerally.

Sue’s previous experience includes working in the bank, owning her own accountancy business, working for a manufacturing company in their accounts department and temping as an accountant.

Sue has AAT qualification level 4 and an Institute for Bankers accreditation.
